Günter Mast had the ground-breaking idea to sponsor a football team jersey, something that has never before been done in West Germany, and in fact forbidden. In 1973, this changed when the Eintracht Braunschweig team walked into the stadium, proudly sporting the Jägermeister stag on their chests thanks to Günter Mast.
